Which Countries in Europe will be open to tourists from summer 2020
Gradually, States that have managed to overcome the peak of the coronavirus epidemic are lifting restrictions. And already this summer, some tourist destinations may open to holidaymakers.
One of the popular tourist publications Lonely Planet told about the directions that planned to loosen restrictions on the tourism industry. For example, the Croatian authorities said that they intend to open campsites, marinas and hotels in the peripheral areas in the near future. This was announced by the local minister of tourism. He pointed out that the resumption of tourist flow at the moment is possible only on a modest scale and will begin from the far regions.
Cyprus says it will partially open the borders to tourists in the second month of summer. At the same time, only those travelers who are sent from countries that have reduced the level of coronavirus infection will be able to enter the territory of the state. Thus, the entrance will be open to tourists from Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Greece, Israel.
In July plans to host foreigners and Greece
The government said that they are ready to find out from health experts about the possibility of gradually opening the borders.
The Canary Islands are scheduled to open in the last month of summer. But guests from abroad are expected closer to mid-autumn. Spain's tourism minister says the Canaries should become a "world safe tourism laboratory."
To date, transport links between EU countries have been kept to a minimum. The French government has hinted that the EU's borders will remain closed until the autumn, arguing that the premature discovery of countries for tourists could cause a new outbreak of infection.
