Turkish foreign Minister announced the opening of entry for Russians without a passport

Detailed negotiations about the entry of Russian citizens on the territory of Turkey without passports will be held on 28 March 2019 in Antalya. And on April 8 will continue in Moscow. On the same day, the presidents of both countries will be opened cross Year of culture and tourism.

For reference: at the moment, residents of the Russian Federation have the right to travel to Turkey without a visa for up to 90 days. Previously, the negotiations on the simplification of procedures for entry to Turkey was conducted in 2015. However, even with the positive outcome of the talks, experts say that the procedure of simplification of entry cannot be introduced quickly. After the drafting, signing and ratification of the relevant securities will need some time. So do not expect that entering Turkey without a passport will be available for Russians in the coming season.
However, experts are confident that the chance to come to this agreement is quite high, because Turkey is interested in increasing the number of tourists, as the Russian side is interested in realization of the Turkish stream. However, the citizens of Russia consider that the passage opening without passports will be carried out only in select cities of the Turkish state.
Also, it is believed that the opening of possibilities of travel to Turkey without a passport, will negatively affect the fullness of the domestic resorts, in particular, in Sochi and Crimea. After all, despite the priority development of domestic tourism of the Russian Federation, profits from the tourism industry and exports of petroleum products are not comparable, as, unfortunately, the level of service for tourists to compare States. Therefore, most likely, the battle for Russian holidaymakers will win the Turkish resorts. Although many experts claim that the domestic tourism always wins foreign. So, last summer season, Krasnodar region was visited by 15 million tourists from Russia, while Turkey received only 5.5 million in addition, there was the trend of rising prices for holidays in Turkey.
