New rules for entering Croatia

New rules for entering Croatia From April 1, in order to obtain a permit to enter Croatia, one of the following documents must be presented.

Official confirmation of the passage of a PCR test with a negative result. In this case, the procedure must be carried out no later than two days before the moment of crossing the border.

Document confirming negative result of rapid test for SARS-CoV-2 antigen. The test must be done no later than 48 hours before entering Croatia. If a tourist is in the country for more than 10 days, he must go through it again on its territory. The condition must be met before 10 days, counting from the date of the previous testing.

Certificate confirming the passage of vaccination against coronavirus. Vaccination must be carried out no later than 2 weeks before the border crossing.

A document containing data on the presence of antibodies, which will confirm that the person wishing to visit the country recovered from the virus within 180 days. The certificate must be received no earlier than 11 days before the border crossing.

Another way to get permission to enter Croatia is to stay in self-isolation for 10 days or take tests on the territory of the country - all at your own expense. In addition, children under the age of 7 are not required to undergo vaccinations or similar procedures, provided that they travel with parents who have the appropriate documents.

The new regulation is valid until April 15th. Probably, the government wants to check the effectiveness of the decisions made. Similar rules of entry are actively being introduced in many other states. Confirmation of testing or vaccination is requested by Montenegro, Iceland, Madeira.

The Cyprus Ministry of Health has decided to take a slightly different path. They compiled a list of states whose citizens are allowed to visit the island, dividing everyone into different zones. Depending on the epidemiological situation in the countries, different requirements are imposed on tourists. For example, Ukrainian travelers belong to the red zone, so they are required to take the test twice.

By the end of May, the European Union plans to introduce a single form of documentation, which will contain all data on vaccinations and test results. Such a step should make it possible to speed up border crossing, increase tourist activity and prevent the spread of the disease.
