New routes on "Land of the Leopard"

New routes on "Land of the Leopard" Established in 2012 in the Seaside Region, the national park "Land of leopards" is constantly expanding, offering guests new destinations. Unique tourist routes allow you to see rare species of Far Eastern animals nearby.

A new tour of the Gamovsky site, which has been part of the park since 2019, has been opened on the "Land of the Leopard". The relevant confirmation was published by the press service of the protected area.

The creation of the national park began on April 5, 2012, when the Russian government signed a responsible position. These measures have made it possible to ensure the safe life of more than 50 Far Eastern leopards. Over the past 20 years, their numbers have almost halved. The protected area of 262,000 hectares covers 60% of the habitat of the largest species of feline.

The nature of the national park is rich and unique. In addition to leopards, its territory is inhabited by Amur tigers, spotted deer, badgers, roe deer, wild boars, etc. The species composition of the protected area is the richest in the far east.

Today, two unique tourist routes are available for guests of the "Land of the Leopards". Booking of the tour must be carried out at least 3 days. Each program includes a trip to the "deer park." In it you can watch the spotted deer at arm's length. Both routes include a visit to the sea. Depending on the direction it will be either the bay of Medium, or the bay of Nerpchia.

On the new direction of the "Gamovsky" protected area, the director of the national park Viktor Bardyuk said the following: "The territory of the cluster site is inhabited and grown unique in natural terms objects of display, which can really be considered a national treasure."

Study tours play a significant role in environmental education. Only seeing all the beauty with your own eyes, you begin to understand how fragile nature is, and that it must be protected from any misfortunes. Thus, the creation of a protected area allowed to triple the population of Far Eastern leopards, the number of which due to human activity has come close to critical marks.

Excursions continue to operate in the context of the coronavirus epidemic. All measures have been taken to counter the spread of infection. Conditions are provided to keep the social distance, organized contactless measurement of temperature.
