Memo to tourists: the list of prohibitions in Italy

Over the past few years, Italian authorities have introduced many innovations that are designed to correct improper behavior of tourists. Many travelers don't know about the new forbidden measures and run the risk of being fined a few hundred euros, up to ban the visit to a city. For example, in 2019 in Venice fined a group of tourists from Germany for 950 Euro for the fact that they were preparing coffee on the stove mobile near one of the bridges of the city. The poor forced to pay a fine and immediately leave the city.

In fact, even the most diligent travelers in Italy can be in an embarrassing situation due to the banal ignorance of the new restrictions.

As for the food – eating and drinking near landmarks, to sit down near the shops or bridges is strictly prohibited. Also prohibited eating on the go in the Central part of Florence from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00.
