Nadvoitsy - (old spelling of Nadvoitsy) an urban-type settlement in the Segezhsky district of the Republic of Karelia. The status of an urban-type settlement - since 1942. The first mention of the village of Nadvoitsy dates back to 1620, these were the possessions of the Solovetsky Monastery. In 1647 there were 26 farmsteads and a church in Nadvoitsy. In the village there was a church of Zosima and Savvaty, the Solovetsky saints. From 1801 to 1920, Nadvoitsy as part of the Lapinsky volost of the Kemsky district were part of the Arkhangelsk province.
Nadvoychane belong to the residents of the Vygovsky region, which includes the territory adjacent to the Vygozero and the rivers flowing in and out of it.
