Webcam online opens a view of the sports ground in the city of Kostomuksha. Kostomuksha is a small town in Karelia, located on the shores of Lake Kontokkyarvi, 35 km from the Russian-Finnish border, 363 km from Petrozavodsk. The area of the settlement is 4 square kilometers.
In 1866, the settlement housed about 27 yards and lived more than 160 people. In 1917, the village's population grew to 300 people belonging to Karelian and Finnish nationalities.
During World War II, the village was completely burned down by the German invaders.
In 1967, the design of a mining and processing plant began on the site of the modern city. In the 1970s, the construction of the village under the new iron ore field began.
