Live webcam shows a view of one of the largest cities in Greece - Patras (Peloponnese).

The broadcast allows you to enjoy the magnificent architecture and the equally picturesque Gulf of Patras. This place is the second largest Greek port from where you can get to Italy.

In the northwest of the Peloponnese peninsula, webcams of which are available on the site, is the third largest Greek city - Patras.

This is a place with a rich history, because it passed from hand to hand of various conquerors.
Patras was founded in the 6th century. BC. During the domination of the Roman Empire, the city became an important trading place in the Mediterranean. The decline begins in the III century. BC. The heyday began only in the 9th century. Then Patras often passed from hand to hand. At different times, it was ruled by the Venetians and the Turks. Greece conquered it in 1821-1829. during the war of liberation.
The city has two significant symbols - the medieval castle and the Church of St. Andrew. Castro Castle is located on the site of the ancient acropolis. It was founded in the 6th century, when Justinian was in power. It stands on a hill a few hundred meters from the sea. This building was the administrative center and outpost. The castle is interesting because at different times it was rebuilt and fortified, so it absorbed particles from different eras.
The Church of St. Andrew the First-Called is the largest religious building in the Balkans. It was built in 1974, although work began in 1908. Due to various circumstances, construction had to be suspended several times.

The temple was named after St. Andrew, as it was crucified in Patras, which can be seen on the webcams of the Peloponnese.

Here are the relics of the Saint and parts of the beveled St. Andrew's cross. The style of the cult building is neo-Byzantine. It is made in the form of a Greek cross. The largest dome, 5 m high, can be seen from afar in the Gulf of Corinth.
A famous university is located in Patras, which makes the city a center for students and youth. It was opened in 1966 on the feast day of St. Andrew, therefore the emblem of the university includes an X-shaped cross - a symbol of the crucifixion of the Saint. It teaches natural sciences, engineering, humanities and social sciences, as well as medicine and business. Considering that this is a port city, there are many souvenir, antique and other shops.
Travelers claim that here you can find goods for every taste and budget.

Patras, which can be seen on webcams of the Peloponnese, are a must-see.

Antiquity and modernity, nature and architecture will conquer any tourist.
