Protect tourists in Prague plan a ban on bicycles!

The most popular tourist areas of the capital of the Czech Republic are planned to be closed for cyclists. According to authorized representatives of the local government, such a measure is aimed at securing tourists.

From 10 am to 5 pm bike transportation in the central parts of the city will not only be limited, but strictly prohibited. There is still no official document that would regulate this provision, but some of its aspects have already been taken into account. So, earlier it was impossible to go to the specified tourist centers on motorcycles and scooters, now the expansion of the ban is planned.

According to the head of the city Oldřich Lomiecki, the streets of the city were not designed for such large flows of people as are currently observed in the capital of the Czech Republic. Every day there are conflicts that the official structures have to deal with. The implementation of the project will relieve the administration staff and tackle other pressing issues.

At the same time, the ban on travel strongly outraged the drivers of personal transport, which refute the words of the mayor. They claim that only three people have not missed bicycles in the past decade. But on the basis of what is offered simply to equip bike paths.
