This amazing settlement attracts tourists from all over the world with its beautiful landscapes, unique architectural monuments and the spirit of oriental hospitality. Our broadcasts allow you to see the life of the city in real time without leaving your home or office.

Derbent webcams offer a unique opportunity to see the main sights of the city from anywhere in the country and the world.

You will be able to observe the power of the Naryn-Kala Derbent fortress, which was founded in antiquity and continues to impress with its architectural beauty and grandeur. From its walls a breathtaking view of the Caspian Sea and the city itself opens up. After all, in addition to the high height of buildings, the fortress is located on a hill.
Today, on the territory of Naryn-Kala, you can see many historical buildings that date back to different centuries, up to the 4th century, when the fortress itself was built. Among the well-preserved examples are the Khan's palace, the office, baths, an underground prison, walls with gates, and a temple. And for those who are tired of wandering around the vast territory, there is an opportunity to relax in a magnificent restaurant with panoramic windows.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the Derbent wall, which is part of the ancient fortifications, which saw the era of the Persian Sassanid dynasty.

This wall closely adjoins the Naryn-Kala fortress and leads to the coast, blocking the approaches to the sea. In ancient times, it was here that the main part of the city was located. To this day, in addition to fragments of the wall, about 40 towers and several gates have survived.
Among the most intact buildings on the territory of the citadel, it is worth noting the ancient complex of the Khan's bath. It was here that the rulers of ancient Derbent performed ablutions and even resolved state issues.
The walls of the baths are built of shells in an oriental style, with traditional semi-underground rooms, domes and light holes. Of interest is the system of stoves for heating water, which is located under the floor. Many argue that this design was so well thought out that a single candle flame was enough to warm it up.
Those who like to tickle their nerves should also see the underground prison-zindan. This design resembled a giant jug in its shape, with walls tapering upwards. The “neck” was closed with a grate through which light and air entered the “jug”. The depth of such a structure reaches 11 meters. And the area is 25 m2. Today, the architectural monument is available only for external review. Passage inside is prohibited.
At about the same time as the zindan (XVIII century), the oldest mosque in Derbent was built. Juma Mosque has long been the main religious center for the townspeople, where Muslims came from all areas.
Despite numerous reconstructions and restorations, which led to the almost complete loss of the original appearance, the Juma Mosque is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
